Hi.
I am willing to work on this - it would be a good way to start studying the code. I know how it is done, and I think not much mentoring will be needed.
Should I start working in the stable or the development branch?

(for bard: I am ghaspias, we have talked in <email address hidden> recently)

That would be really marvelous (I'm serious, this hasn't got the deserved attention for way too long). Starting with the development branch is certainly the way to go. Let me know how you'd like to proceed.

I'll fetch the repository and have a look at the trunk, then submit
darcs patches (if I have trouble dealing with darcs, I will ask you
for help).
Tomorrow night (Portugal time) I should have it set up.

Ok. :-) It's probably a good idea *not* to replicate the excessive file granularity in the old en-US directory... there was a .dtd for each .xul and a .properties for each .js. A dialog.dtd/properties, contacts.dtd/properties, wizard.dtd/properties etc should be enough (basically following toplevel directories in http://repo.hyperstruct.net/sameplace/devel/chrome/content/ rather than individual files).

I should be in the chatroom if you need directions on something.

X-Pilot contributed a patch for strings in XUL files, currently in development branch.
