Broken encoding when listing services and their descriptions

Binary package hint: samba

Some of shares of our Windows server are called in Russian.
In Ubuntu 9.04 their names and descriptions were shown perfectly right.
In Ububntu 9.10 the encoding become broken.

Here is an example:

I assure you, there are none of such letters like "æÔá¡ñáÓÔ¡Ù® «íÚ¿® ÓÑßÒÓß" in Russian!

The same happens when I see this list in Nautilus. And, of course, double-click on "Äí¼Ñ¡¡¿¬" share in the Network folder gives me error message "Failed to mount Windows share".

Thanks for attention to this bug.

/var/log/samba is empty, I'll try to get it again when I will be in
Windows network,
/etc/samba/smb.conf is attached.

It has status RESOLVED FIXED on https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6829
Will the fix find its way into the final release of 9.10?

It will certainly be fixed as a post-release update very soon, since it also triggers bug 449735.
