Bug Description

The main text field in eclipse should be white - not black as it is. Everything else should be as is, making it look like Geany (which is the current aim unless it is changed).

I see from the provided screenshots that the text is colored or black against dark gray, which is technically readable but would probably cause quite a bit of eyestrain. At the same time, I don't think it's as bad as the problems we currently have with Firefox or the Ubuntu Software Center, where text really is almost invisible.

This should eventually be fixed, although I don't think its priority is very high since it's a non-default app.

As a workaround, I think this is a good idea. Use this theme: http://eclipsecolorthemes.org/?view=theme&id=1

and install the add-on. It looks rather nice, and it "solves" this issue.

The problem appears to be with the syntax highlighting colors for Java files. If I make a plain text file instead, the text color correctly shows as white.
