Yes, *please* help with the artwork!

My skill set is completely not in the artistic space. Was figuring I'd probably have to hire someone to get icons and art work done for it. :-/

Just went and found the New Wave theme of yours on deviantArt, then tried it out on a local Ubuntu 8.10 (32 bit) install. (inside a virtual machine, so no accelerated X nor desktop effects.)

It's actually pretty decent. Good icons, very clear to see, etc.

What do you have in mind for Salasaga's new app and play controls? :)

(They need to be SVG so they scale, and they also get saved as a bitmap for people who don't have the svg libraries on their system)

Well I suggest you to tell me what images are required(dimensions) and what is the context of their usage. For mouse pointers of the Pointer function of your app I can create some different version and you let the user choose. As far as the play controls in the html page I can make them a lot better if I know what states are available(prelight, active, normal, insens ...) and what shape the images might have. What is the freedom of design I can make? Do I have transparency and such.

I find the icoms of Salagasa pretty decent so they will probably stay the same. I will make the rest needed in svg and will send it to your email.

I think some improvements are required to the usability of the program.

- When you double click on the bg image you should have the duration spin button inside for more conviniant usage.
- Selected slide should be more visible with some margins (3px) at all sides. You can futher improve the whole film strip. and make it look like real one.
- Fade-in/outs shold be easily clickable and modifyable (use some arrows to identify click area?)
- Horizontal and vertical scrollbars in the timeline are must
- Better names of layers by default (e.g. txtDefault, txt Defailt1 ...; pointerOK, pointerCancel)
- Better identify transperent objects that are to fade in later. It is now very difficult to find them on the preview only (not clicking on them in the timeline)
- Play button for instant preview of slide will make the user save less and export less.
- Buttons on top/bottom of filmstrip to manage slides (these are optional but better than key kombinations and menus)

I think these are the most important features right now. In the future you can work on on beter itegration of the properties of layer in the preview. On the fly editing using automatic popups and so on.

Some new pointers emailed by Dilomo. :)

Will start incorporating at least some of them into Alpha 5, and begin to think about what needs to be done for the rest. :)

Just replaced the existing mouse pointer graphic, with the white "shadow" version you emailed through.

It does look much better. :)

The better approach, hopefully in a not-too-far release, would probably be to let the end user select the cursor they want from a list, and possibly be able to add their own (i.e. anything saved in the Salasaga "mouse pointers" directory, or a private-to-the-user equivalent).

I just looked at the control buttons and I think they are good for the alpha 6 release but will need some more work for the betas. I'll get to it when you say it's ready for change.
