Bug Description

Hi,

I got this error when launching Salasaga:

"Error ED379: Unable to set screenshot key to Control-Printscreen. (Not running Metacity, so not sure how to.) You will need to do this yourself manually."

Understandable that it doesn't know how to, but it's a bug nonetheless :)

(I'll try and find out for you if I can)

Compiz has the ability to adopt metacity shortcuts (stored in gconf). Support all kinds of window managers (metacity, compiz, openbox, fluxbox, sawfish, kwin etc.) is nearly impossible but salasaga should at least handle metacity and compiz in the right way because it is very popular at the moment and activated by default in some distros (at least in ubuntu).

Just set Backend to Gconf in CompizConfig and metacity shortcuts can be used with compiz easily (http://www.ubuntu-pics.de/bild/6255/gconf_backend_iQm1J6.png).

Thanks!

A very usable workaround for this is to right click on the Salasaga icon in the status bar, then choose "Take screenshot".

This is how I take most screenshots these days.
