Bug Description

When tabs don't fit into window (new tab opens or tab caption grows), the window grows itself to the right. It is slightly annoying in some cases. Maybe we can use scrolling tab panel or multiline tabs?

It shouldn't grow. But i cannot reproduce this bug. Here if i open several tabs, the old tabs scroll to the left but the window doesn't grow. Could you provide more details? Like your distribution/WM.

Same for me here, latest on Arch Linux.

I haven't noticed that the window actually grows, as my terminal windows are always in full screen.
I just tried this with a smaller window and I can confirm this too.

Version 3.3.4

I added a small patch to expand tabs (rev. 560). It's not related to this bug but it could affect its behavior, so let me know if anything changes. I sill cannot reproduce the bug.

I just installed from bzr, revision 561, and those changes seems to have fixed the problem for me - Thanks!

Playing around with tabs I now found another problem related to tabs: Adding a new tab using the right-click menu always moves the tabs to bottom - even if the "Tabs at bottom" is unchecked.

It seems revision 561 solved this bug, so I'm going to mark it as fixed. About the "tabs at bottom" bug I tried to reproduce it without success. But anyway Andreas please create a new bug report.

Just built from bzr, issue seems solved. «New tab from right-click» not moves tabs to bottom for me.

I seem to not be able to reproduce my problem described above any more - I'll post a new bug if I run into it again.
