Bug Description

All sound effects are distorted on Mac OS X 10.6.6 (RTTR version 0.7). MIDI music is working fine, however.

Hi,

did the sound-converter run properly?

if you dont know if it has run correctly, delete ~/.s25rttr/LSTS/sound.lst and rerun the app again - it should then say something like "resampling xyz..." (multiple lines)

Ok, deleting sound.lst fixed it. Sound effects are fine now.

What normally triggers the sound-converter? Shouldn't RTTR detect by itself that sound.lst is outdated?

normally, only a missing sound.lst in ~/s25rttr/LSTS will trigger the
sound-convert utility. (so it is not run every time) - older versions
copied the original sound.lst if the sound-converter failed. newer
versions do not copy the original sound.lst on an error, so the
sound-convert will be re run until success.
