Bug Description

This problem doesn't affect playability, but simply looks a little strange.

The lever on the left armrest of Gehn's projector-chair on the temple island snaps to the backmost position instantly whenever the player raises or lowers the projector cage around the chair. It will snap back to the original position once the cage animation has ended.

RivenX v0.9.4
10th anniversary edition

I can't reproduce this. Can you provide a specific list of steps that triggers the problem? Also, what version of Mac OS X are you using and on what Mac model?

I just started a new game and walked over to the room in question. After some more fiddling, I also have some more information that may help. The problem seems to occur when the lever by the screen on the left hand side of the projector-chair room is raised to open the temple door. If that lever is lowered, the problem won't occur.

I am running OS X version 10.6.3 on a Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro.

I can reproduce the problem. It appears to be specific to the DVD edition, as the original CD edition doesn't exhibit the problem. I'll try to see if I can patch the card to get the correct behavior.

Great, thanks for the response. At least it's not just me or my machine.

I've confirmed this is an issue in the DVD edition by running the original binary on Windows and looking at the resources. I'm not sure I'll be able to fix this because it appears the DVD edition is outright missing the correct movie in the data files.

Oops, you'd think they wouldn't mess with that when making the DVD version. I guess this is the price I pay for having one disk to keep track of instead of five...

I suppose you could use the movie that plays when the temple door is closed... that way the only lever that would appear to suddenly move of its own accord would be that little lever off to the left of the screen, and not the big one right on the chair. It's not a good fix, but it mitigates the number of incorrect pixels.
