Album title edit using paste before ripping often totally or partially ignored

It seems the changes to the album's title metadata field by straight typing is almost always effective, but edits involving coping (either from the same RIP window or somewhere else) are mostly totally or partially ignored.

For example, cutting ": Concerto for Strings" out of "Bartók: Concerto for Strings", and typing in "/Chailly" and then paste from copypad shows correctly as "Bartók/Chailly: Concerto for Strings", as intended, on the RIP window. However, the resulting ALAC files are all tagged with the title as "Bartók/Chailly". But if triple click to erase and type in all the words the results are correct.
