Well it appears to be back, I just built and installed RhythmBox 0.13.1, a day or two ago (??? -- I guess that's what happends when you work on this stuff late at night, your mind gets hazy as to when you actually did it...) and installed. I then ran setup.py for rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store-0.1.9 and it's missing from RB. I looked into the setup.py file to see where this thing gets installed and figured I'd manaully take a look and/or copy the files over myself. the seutp.py file was very basic (Fine by me, no need for over complex stuff for a simple task, imho).. Sure enough though, the files are there; yet the plugin is missing from RB.

I am having some issues with RB itself though, I get these errors:
(rhythmbox:15741): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GstObject)

and I also get import errors regarding missing codecs when I import stuff into RB. From what I've seen the codec error is pretty common issue with RB... Anyhow I've tried to reinstall gstreamer and the various plugins over and over again, and nothing seems to fix the sink error or decodebin error, totem for that matter also gives an error, but audacious plays mp3s just fine, and flash on both firefox and opera work just fine too, so I dunno what that error is coming from but all of this is a digression from the plugin issue, I think. as I don't beleive they're related (Only including it here for thoroughness). The sink and codec stuff refers to audio related things, the plugin not showing up could be an issue with the install of plugin itself or a malformed piece of code somewhere in it. While it's true, I won't get music to play from within RB even after I've gotten Ubuntu One Music Store installed and working properly, that shouldn't stop the plugin from even showing up. I'd be more than happy to work with someone in solving my RB/GStreamer/Totem/sink/decodebin/<whatever else is all tied together with all that> issue but I don't think plugin bug area is the place for it, especially in a report about the store's plugin. Oh, one other important piece of information, when I do ./setup.py I get this error:
./setup.py: line 4: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'
./setup.py: line 4: `DistUtilsExtra.auto.setup('

this is the first 5 lines of the seutp.py file:

[1]
[2]import DistUtilsExtra.auto
[3]
[4]DistUtilsExtra.auto.setup(
[5] name='rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store',

Obviously without the [#]'s... I left those in so anyone reading this can see where there exists empty lines incase that's an issue... Not good with python myself. I feel like their ought to be semicolons after the lines, but that's probably not right, since the end of DistUtilsExtra<blah> doesn't have one at the end.

I can't believe this bug has been open for so long. I just installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu 11.04 the installed Rhythmbox so I could use Ubuntu Music Store and support Ubuntu while buying music and its just not there. I too get the error when Rhythmbox is starting up.

(rhythmbox:3553): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

(rhythmbox:3553): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_set_qdata: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

This is on my netbook so its a 32-bit system not sure if this would affect anything.
