I don't know what's wrong for you, but i were updated to last revision and plugins still works for me. And this errors is very strange ( rhythmbox: ../../src/xcb_io.c:249: process_responses: Проверочное утверждение «(((long) (dpy->last_request_read) - (long) (dpy->request)) <= 0) ... ). Maybe you have some other details for resolving this problem?

But currently, I don't know how to resolve it ;(
