Bug Description

Currently a.external enforces a background image to indicate a link goes to another website. Whilst I understand the reason for this I think ultimately it causes more problems than its trying to solve particularly when linking images that look awkward with an enforced background image.

I'd be happy for the background and padding to be removed altogether as below:

a.external {

-moz-background-size: 0.7em 0.7em;
-webkit-background-size: 0.7em 0.7em;
-o-background-size: 0.7em 0.7em;
background-size: 0.7em 0.7em;
/* padding-right: .9em; */
/* background-image:url("//assets.ubuntu.com/v1/c5f4070e-external-link-orange.svg"); */
background-position: 100% top;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
