Bug Description
I already mentioned this.
show x behind y only works if x is not already shown. If it is already shown in front of y, the show statement will be executed but the z order will not change. The workaround is to hide x with None then show again behind y, but that should not be necessary.

This is the behavior documented in the manual. I may change that if I make a semantics breaking change, but I don't plan to do this immediately. So I'll flag this as Triaged for now, and worry about it in the future.
