Bug Description
* update default download link to the github repo used by jabref
* fix some exceptions caused when the download field was not filled correctly
* switch off debug mode
* format code to be more PEP8 compatible
One thing I do not know how to accomplish is how to make the user aware that the download of the config journal database is running. this would be nice (especially on slow connections) since the GUI is frozen during these few seconds. suggestions are welcome.
I suggest however to apply the attached patch in any case as is.
