Screen randomly switches redshifted and non-redshifted

my setup :
    redshift -l 48.4:-4.5 -b 1:0.8 -t 5000:4000 -g 1.4:1.05:0.7
but it occurs the same with :
    redshift -l 48.4:-4.5
my computer is a :
    Lenovo V110-15ISK
uname -rvpi :
    4.18.0-15-generic #16-Ubuntu SMP Thu Feb 7 10:56:39 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64
(up-to-date and rebooted)

It looks like redshift is randomly disabled and enabled back, the period of disablement seems varying but it is in enabled state most of the time.

Okay, I seem to have found what triggers it. The problem is no more after disabling gnome's night mode, 'killall redshift' then running it again

running it again after 'redshift -x', since otherwise it modifies the previously modified colors... But this is another story (another bug ?)
