Request for autostart is ignored; using Linux Mint 18

When "Load Rednotebook at startup" is clicked, then OK, the Preferences window does not close, and - if closed manually by clicking top-right - the Load at startup checkbox does not retain the check. Rednotebook does not restart on next computer switch-on.

I have the same problem.

I don't want to force them to join the military, I want to force them to do civil service. Honestly, I don't know if it would work here but many European nations (and South Korea) do this already with good effect. When I was in Korea, my translator was a KATUSA conscript who was heading to Caltech after he finished his stint. A smart guy and he was willing to do work.

Would it work here? I don't know. It might.

I played using the fix for a couple hours. It'll be a few days before I can say with certainty that it fixed the crashes, but while using the fix, I've noticed that it slows the game down severely sometimes. I noticed it most when entering Skyhold. It's not choppy, it just slows down noticeably for a few seconds. That could easily be my dual core processor showing its shortcomings.
