Bug Description

To reproduce:
- Type some text into the edit section.
- Select text
- Select insert link (Ctrl + L)
- Selected text is in Link Name (as expected)
- Add a URL and press OK
- Link is added with link text but original text persists.
  - example: My link text[My link text ""http://www.example.com""]
  - sometimes this is the other way round depending on how the text was highlighted
  - example: [My link text ""http://www.example.com""]My link text

Would expect original text to be removed and be replaced by the link.
 - example: [My link text ""http://www.example.com""]

Version: RedNotebook 1.10.2

Thanks, this should be fixed in the devleopment version now. The selected text is removed before the link is added. This was the easiest solution. If the insert is aborted, use Ctrl-Z to undo the deletion.

As an addition to the previous commenter, if you use your existing key and the activation fails, it will simply tell you to call Microsoft to activate. Do so, and the computer system will ask you how many machines the copy of Windows is on. Answer honestly by saying it's on one machine, and you're golden.

How eerie, I had the same experience in grad school, details nearly the same except for my advisor wasn't fired (in my case, prof stays, I unofficially switch departments, essentially). It was a really terrible few years.

The experience jolted my career trajectory quite a bit, to say the least, and has negative professional after affects even today. How do you think your career was changed?

Cosmetologist here. Get your hair cut every 8 weeks, use professional shampoo (my suggestion is Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi shampoo with The Detangler), deep condition your hair once a week, eat healthy, and take Biotin. If that doesn't work, you can come down here and shred my license in a paper shredder because I am stumped.
