cannot open journal afternew install

I have a Mint 17.2 laptop, but had to do a new install of the OS + Applications. I restored all my files in SpiderOak, but now when I open my journal folder RedNotebook just closes. All the txt files in the journal seem fine, but RNB doesn't seem to be able to work with them.

Creating a new Journal folder works fine, but if I copy the old txt files into that folder, RNB can no longer open the folder/Journal.

Can you try running rednotebook from the command line and post the log
output here please?

    the suspend is still iffy, but hibernate seems to work, and at least they're options now.

Thanks, I'd recommend removing the text for the days in question, trying
to load the journal in RedNotebook and add the corrupted days' text from
inside RedNotebook.
