Bug Description
The current documentation on inserting equations is outdated. The proposed method to insert latex code does not seem to work anymore. The mathjax functionality, inserting display math with $$ ... $$ or \[ ... \] and inline math with \( ...\), is not described currently.

Thanks! You're right. ''$a^2$'' will only work once it's exported to LaTeX. The other versions are rendered in the preview. I will try to make inserting formulas easier which should also solve this issue.
