Bug Description

An option to automatically insert a timestamp whenever you start writing a new entry or edit an existing entry would be very helpful. That way you could make some statistics on when you normally write your entries, and it would be helpful to know when you edited your entry.

Ctrl-D inserts the current time in a configurable format. I think this should solve your problem.
