Bug Description

I wanted to make a feature request/wishlist request. It would be nice if you could implement a voice/sound operated recording feature that would pause when silence is detected, then restart when sound (user selectable dB level?) is detected. Also, it would be nice to have a starting timer feature, in addition to the stop timer. Thanks.

Hello,
This rec-applet project has been renamed to "audio-recorder". The reason fort his is that neither Ubuntu's Unity Desktop nor GNOME 3.0 Shell will support applets (as we know them from GNOME 2.x). This new audio-recorder has also more features than the old rec-applet.

This new audio-recorder has a more advanced timer that can stop, pause and start recording on silence|voice|sound. It can also record Skype-calls automatically.
