what version of rhythmbox do you have?
You'll get that in the "help -> about" window.

If you have the version from the official oneiric repos you'll have one of the latest git versions.

Fileorganizer for Rhythmbox git/2.90.1 versions
http://launchpad.net/rb-fileorganizer/trunk/2.0.1/+download/rb-fileorganizer2.0.1.tar.bz2

the easiest way for me to see what's happening is to past this into a terminal

rhythmbox -D fileorganizer

-Open rhythmbox using this command
-try to activate the plugin.
-copy and paste everything in the window onto this report.

You need to install python-eyed3.

fileorganizer now requires the python-eyed3 package for updating tag support. This feature is disabled by default but currently requires the library.

ubuntu users can install from synaptic, apt-get, aptitude or possibly the software centre. (i don't know what kind of features the software centre has in regards to packages.)

i may remove this feature depending on the stable release but personally i use it to ensure that my tags match what i set in the database and the tags are set to v2.4. I think instead i'll look at moving the tag support out of the main program to keep the import optional so that could stop this happening for those without python-eyeD3 installed.

just to let you know that i've updated the code in bzr to ignore importing eyeD3 if the package is not installed.
