Bug Description

Preconditions:

* install lirc on clean RPi configure lirc_rpi in /boot/configure.txt and reboot

Expected behavior: irsend SEND_ONCE foo bar works

What actually happened is failure with message "hardware does not support sending" and "Error running command: Input/output error"

After some googling, I found appropriate answer on stackexchange: https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/50873/lirc-wont-transmit-irsend-hardware-does-not-support-sending

After changing
driver = devinput
to
driver = default

in /etc/lirc/lirc_options.conf and restarting lircd, it started working.

It'd be much easier if this was the default configuration, so people don't have to waste time googling.
