Bug Description
I have a single emoji as my network name, and my Raspberry Pi displays it as a long string of escape characters (/) and numbers. Displays a message of "invalid argument" if I try to connect. My WiFi uses WPA2, with a password that is only letters. The output of "uname -a" is:
Linux raspberrypi 4.9.35-v7+ #1014 SMP Fri Jun 30 14:47:43 BST 2017 armv71 GNU/Linux
I am on the Raspberry Pi 3. Output of shared C library using the dpkg command in the instructions is 2.19-18+deb8u10.
