Bug Description
The program Dia cannot be used under Raspbian Wheezy and Jessie.
Dia aborts with a segmentation fault. Starting from the command line gives a list of errors message, see the link below.
From the GUI the Dia title window comes up, and just when the main window appears it aborts.

Jessie output (command line):
The program 'dia-normal' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.

(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Dia does run well under Ubuntu 15.10 on a Pi (version 0.97.3), but not under Raspbian Wheezy (Dia 0.97.2) and Jessie (Dia 0.97.3). And I don't see any problems on x86 computers (several versions of Debian, Mint, Dia), so the problem must be somewhere in Raspbian.
Wheezy is no longer supported and Jessy has one year of LTS left. Can you reproduce this in Stretch or Buster? If not, please close this bug report.
