omxplayer 0.3.5~git20140322 audio stuttering and popping

Using omxplayer to play mp4 files from youtube, with audio and video are going to HDMI...

Until to version 0.3.3~git20131216 omxplayer audio worked OK for me.
After upgrading to 0.3.5~git20140322, audio is stuttering/trembling and popping.
After downgrading back to 0.3.3~git20131216 the problem no longer occurs.
