Raspbian and outdated and not working fprintd-enroll and fprintd-verify

Hello!

There are outdated packets fprintd-enroll and fprintd-verify for fingerprint reader are present in default Raspbian repositories! You can check it trying to use fprintd-enroll

As you can see @ Raspbian system is asking about fingerprint for enroll only one time. Then verification is almost impossible.

Normally (on Ubuntu for example) both fprintd-enroll and fprintd-verify are working great. After you use fprintd-enroll Ubuntu is asking you about fingerprint for enroll five times. Then verification (using fprintd-verify) works perfect every time.

The reason was found by Vasily Khoruzhick here:

Could someone please to repair it? Or could you please let me know how to compile it from repositories:

How do you think, why this old revision are included in Raspbian repositories?
Should it be reported in some place / to someone?

Raspbian wheezy seems to have the same version as debian wheezy as expected? are you able to test this on a pure debian system? if so did it affect it? if so has a bug been files with debian.
