Bug Description

I'm running raspbian wheezy on a raspberry pi model B.
No keyboard/screen plugged at it, I access to it by ssh when it's plugged at the home's router/switch.
The bootloader lies in the mmc card and the rest of the operating system lies on an external hdd, in 2 different partitions.
The system is kept running 24/7.
I've observed that, after the initial boot, the network fails after a random time (between 12 and 48 hours of running time).
After the crash there is no response to pings and I can't connect to ssh.
To be able to connect to ssh, the only thing I can do is to unplug the raspberry pi from the power supply and then plug it again.
I don't know how to reproduce this bug.

Response of "uname -a"
Linux raspberrypi 3.6.11+ #456 PREEMPT Mon May 20 17:42:15 BST 2013 armv6l GNU/Linux

Response of "dpkg -s libc6 | grep ^Version"
Version: 2.13-38+rpi2

Is this still an issue?
As this very much looks like a kernel issue, it's probably better to report it at
https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues

Marking it as incomplete awaiting further information.
