Bug Description

I use RPD 0.0.10 on Ubuntu 9.10.
It runs fine for a while during import until it gets stuck at some point and outputs

Exception in thread Thread-2:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/threading.py", line 525, in __bootstrap_inner
    self.run()
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/rapid/rapid.py", line 1740, in run
    needMetaDataToCreateUniqueSubfolderName)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/rapid/rapid.py", line 1374, in generateSubfolderAndFileName
    imageMetadata.readMetadata()
IOError: Failed to read image data

From my end I cannot see that my image files are somewhat corrupt or such, I can also see the EXIF data via Nautilus or exif-tool.

Thanks for your report. Can you email me a copy of the image? If not, is it a RAW image, jpeg, or something else?
