not able to add the app to list of "favorites" so that it remains on GNOME sidebar

Bug Description

Ubuntu switched to GNOME, but added a side panel for app launchers to keep this feature from Unity. Launching an app opens the icon on the panel and right-clicking it normally gives an option to mark it as "favorite", meaning that the app can be launched directly from the side panel. But not for RPD, the only option is to close the app.

Other Qt 5 applications exhibit the same behavior. So I don't think it's a problem with Rapid Photo Downloader. Instead I think it's a Gnome Shell problem. In any case, it is possible to add it. Try adding when the screen displays all the application launchers in shell's equivalent of a full screen "menu".
