Hi, thanks for your bug report. I cannot replicate it. Try it with a new user (i.e. one that has the system default gnome setup), and see if you can replicate it.

Have same problem EXACTLY.

New install of Ubuntu Mate 15.10 for darktable. First use beyond email setup and browser, so a clean system. RPD comes with Ubuntu Mate as a 1-click install.

Have both .dng and .jpg files. Want to download both to same folder (as darktable treats as pairs). So Uncheck All. Highlight a selection (~60 RAW/jpg pairs), click 1st and all .jpg's are selected, but no .dng's. Click 2nd file (with or without Shift/Ctrl) all .dng's are selected, BUT all .jpg's are deselected!

Thinking that it was a .dng vs .jpg naming thing, I went ahead and downloaded all selected .jpg's.

But now I highlight same 60 files, and click 1st .dng file and EVERY OTHER .dng file is selected. Ie. previously downloaded .jpg's are ignored.

So only way to select a selection of files is via n/2 number of downloads. Way too slow, and error prone.

Doubt relevant but just in case: Am using a simultaneous backup, naming is Folder name / YY / MM / DD

[ BTW: Would be nice if Folder Name could be supplied at runtime, rather than having to remember to edit Preferences each time.}

TIA!

I'm working on the next version, which uses Qt 5 instead of Gtk 2. I very much doubt this bug will occur in the Qt based version. Until the next version is developed, there is nothing I can do about this bug, sorry.

Understand.

Workaround for benefit of others:

You have to avoid the 'Unselect All' button entirely. So to select, eg, the middle 10 images of a set of 30, highlight and then Unselect the first 10, and then repeat with the last 10, leaving the 10 you want still selected.

Marking as fixed released, because the latest release now uses Qt5 and not Gtk+2.
