Bug Description

Ubuntu Lucid beta 1. 3.0Ghz Dell GX-280 P-4 HT 2 GB RAM Intel 82915G/GV/910 Integrated graphics controller. Quickshot crashes when changing screen resolution. Might help if I knew what resolution was required so I could set it myself.

Hello, Roy.

Thanks for letting us know about this problem. (We're trying to build a list of configurations that aren't handled by xrandr/disper so that 1.0.0 will work smoothly on as many systems as possible)

If you could, for the sake of completeness, run 'quickshot --debug' in a terminal and paste the output, that would be great.

In the meantime, the resolution Quickshot wants is 1024x768. You can hit the 'Skip' button when prompted to bypass the detection code. Quickshot will complain, but you can ignore it and continue.

Thank you very much for helping us complete the first version of the manual! And feel free to let us know about any other problems you may experience; we are hard at work on redesigning based on your feedback.

Note: The English language has been fully covered, so if you see a blank list of screenshots or notice that every one has been flagged as uploaded, that's why.

Changed in quickshot:
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Triaged
status: Triaged → New

Oops... I found a post by someone who said the screen resolution was set to 1024x768. I tried setting that manually and the computer crashed then as well. Seems the problem is with the video driver, not Quickshot. This is the only computer I am running Lucid on, so I'll try burning the CD and see if that works.

tried Quickshot --debug > QSdebug: file created but empty.

Quickshot --debug -
