qtcreator is not shownig menu->"Build" on mouse click

I am on Ubuntu12.04 updated to 15.4.2012.

qtcreator2.4.1 has a little bug in the menu bar.

When I move the mouse direct to the menu -> "Build" without touching the other menu options beside "Build"("Edit" or "Debug") and clicking with the laft mouse button the options of menu -> "Build" schould be shown.

This does not happen.

Instead when I click first on "Edit" or "Debug" the options of this menu entries are shown to me. A moving from there without leaving the high of the menu bar to the "Build" menu the options of "Build" are then shown to me.

This is almost certainly a Qt/Ubuntu issue. Is that with ubuntu's "unified menu bar" UI? I know that there were patches to Qt done to allow that kind of UI, and I heard that this introduced bugs. What Qt version is used?

It is with the ubuntu menu bar. I have just checked with an openSUSE12.1 64bit install(brought to qt4.8.2) and qtcreator2.5.0. On this system it is not there.

On the Ubuntu system it is Qt4.8.2.

So, you are correct. It seems to be a ubuntu specific issue.

Please check if this bug is still valid for you on 14.04, we have moved to QtC3 and Qt5, i cannot reproduce this anymore
