Use POST to allow for more characters

To allow for full size QR codes you need to use POST requests.

Basically just load up the QR code in an IFRAME instead of an image.

I would try to do this only for requests where it is necessary. The IFRAME approach could cause annoying problems and I'd prefer the existing approach where possible.

Agreed. Really this only grants you another 2000 characters - the QR spec maxes out at 4296 characters. The current solution should be fine for almost all valid URLs and most text snippets.
