Convert main toolbar buttons to toggle buttons

Bug Description
Right now the toolbar buttons behave as regular buttons, which is confusing for some users, as they don't know e.g. what the 'New' button does when they are already in the 'New' screen.
The main toolbar buttons should be toggle buttons instead.

While the description is absolutely correct, the actual buttons to use would be a radio buttons in a radio group. This way only one of the buttons (new, history, about) can be toggled at once.
This will be fixed in the next release. Thank you for reporting it!
