Bug Description

This may not be in the vision of the developer but double-click has always been a relatively poor design decision and really should not be pursued. Here is an article that articulates a few of the issues of double-click:

http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2004/10/double-click-must-die.html

Further, these buttons are the same style as those in the system preferences window (which are single-click). Further, above these buttons that need double-click are "New" and "about", two items that require only single click. For usability reasons and consistency, single click should be implemented, not double click.

(Thanks for the great app, by the way!)

Thanks a lot for trying Qreator and for reporting this issue.

Indeed, I myself have wanted double-click to die a horrible death too, but it's the default behaviour of the standard IconView widget from the GTK widget upon Qreator is based.

But here's the good news: this bug has already been fixed in the development version of Qreator, so with the next package update that I'm planning to release soon, we should only have single click.

I'm marking thus this bug as a duplicate of the original one we used to track this issue (bug 1006635). Feel free to report any new issues you might find!
