Bug Description

Hello,
if a phrase is broken by a newline, then it is not currently possible to search for it.
As an example, if a pdf file contains this text:
"""
one two
three four
"""
then searching for "two three" produces no results.

Is it possible to add this feature?

Regards,
  Vicenç.

Hello Vicenç,

thank you for taking the time to report this! The search functionality is handled internally by the PDF libraries, i.e. usually by Poppler, that is used in the corresponding qpdfview plug-in. Hence, I could only adjust this by reimplementing the complete search logic I think it would therefore be better to report this issue upstream with the Poppler project.

Best regards, Adam.

Hello Adam,
I've just checked and there are already two related bugs reported:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9648
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11381
both are 10 years old, so, no high hopes...
and a duplicate:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61104
Also reported on other PDF viewers. It looks like a universally wanted feature.

I think this is quite common because this are nothing else than formatting artifacts and formatting should not affect content semantics.

Anyways, thanks for your great work.
