Bug Description

When the advanced search is enabled, then ESC isn't closing the search mask. Although closing with ESC works when advanced search is disabled.

Observed on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 with qpdfview 0.4.17beta1.

Hello sojusnik,

this is intentional as pressing Escape actually cancels a currently running search. In the normal search mode, this then closes the visualization of this short running process, i.e. it closes the search dock. However the advanced search dock is supposed to be a proper dock like the outline or thumbnails views and hence is not closed when just the currently running search operation is canceled.

Best regards, Adam.

Adam, I see, thanks for clarifying!

What about adding a dedicated shortcut for closing the advanced search, like Strg+Esc or Strg+Shift+F? It's very unhandy to close the search bar by clicking on the small "x" in the left corner now.

Hello again,

when the advanced search dock is enabled, the search dock is a proper dock and has a visibility toggle action in the docks menu, the shortcut of which is configurable as with the other docks. I think the current default is F10...

Best regards, Adam.

Adam, thank you! I've overlooked the corresponding shortcut in the settings.
