Bug Description

After upgrading to Ubuntu 15.04, I found that F6 no longer works to display Outline in the last version of qpdfview.

Today I also updated qdfview to 0.4.14, and none of F6-F9 does work.

F1, F11 and F12 to show contents, presentation and full screen are working properly.

Hello Fred,

thank you for taking the time to write this report! Sadly I could not yet reproduce the problem and hence would like to try a few things to narrow it down. First, could you check the shortcuts tab in the settings dialog whether the dock names like "Outline" are connect with the correct shortcuts like "F6"? And maybe you could use the "Defaults on this tab" button to reset only the shortcuts and see if this changes anything? If not, from being on version 0.4.14 is suspect your are using Benjamin's Qt5-based packages from [1]? If so, could you try out the Qt4-based daily builds from [2]? (Or the other way around, i.e. swapping [1] in fro [2] might also help and tell us something.) Thank you.

Best regards, Adam.

Thanks for the reply.
The original installation was with [1], but F6-F9 didn't work. I checked shortcuts even before your suggestion, and changed shortcuts correspondingly to have a test. Unfortunately, no key combination worked for Outline.

I uninstalled [1] and installed [2] today. Seems everything works fine atm.

Thanks and Regards
Fred

Hello Fred,

I am glad that your immediate problem is resolved. However, this does tell us that the Qt5 version shipped with Ubuntu 15.04 might have a problem with the infrastructure to toggle the visibility of docks under certain circumstances as a Qt5-based build on my machine does not have this issue... Not sure whether I'll mark this as invalid since it seems to be packaging problem or whether I should really setup a fresh Ubuntu 15.04 virtual machine to test this some more.

Best regards, Adam.

Marking as invalid since it is working on the reporters machine using Qt4 and it is working using Qt5 on other machines. I suspect a packaging and/or upgrade problem w.r.t. to Ubuntu's Qt5 packages.
