[8:29] $ qpdfview "testfile#1.pdf"
"Error: Couldn't open file '/home/franz/tmp/testfile': No such file or directory."

Thanks for reporting. This is indeed true. Switching the parsing to use a regular expression will hopefully solve this.

Ok, the fix is in trunk revision 429. Testing is appreciated. (Might take a while for the daily builds to rebuild though.)

qpdfview "test.pdf#1-#10.pdf#3#5.pdf#2"
does what it should - open page #2 from extracted pages #3 and #5 from the extraction of pages #1 to #10 from test.pdf - or so :D
So the regexp looks stable to me.
