Unable to install/start liveCD.

Bug Description
When trying to install Qimo it falls to a command prompt. Last things on screen before the command prompt is :
"init: ureadahead-other main process (1044) terminated with status 4"
(same things three time but different process numbers (1045 and 1046 in previous example).
Same thing when booting into livecd instead of installing but instead of going to a command prompt it goes into a loop with this error :
"[192.200003] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 61s! [plymouthd:1031]"
the error repeats itself indefinitly but the counter on the left increments.
I then tried installing Xubuntu 9.10 and it worked without errors. I haven't tried (or downloaded) Xubuntu 10.04.
