This bother me a long time, but now I have good example from open source library (lp:cfifo). See attached screenshot.
I've marked 2 duplicates region. As you could see they should be collapsed, i.e. we should have there 1 big hunk instead of two smaller hunks as in unidiff. I'm sure this could be easily done if we start to show files entirely in side-by-side diff. But even today it would be possible to ake hunks more intelligent, IMO. |
