Bug Description

Hello, not sure if this has already been reported or not but I am using qbittorrent v2.8.4 under Ubuntu 11.10 32 bit and the majority of my torrents get stuck at 99.9%....They are always popular torrents with many seeders, but speeds drop to 1-2kb/s at 99.9% instead of the usual rate it was going at (1-2mb/s) and the status changes to "Stalled".

Force rechecking does NOT fix it, I have to pause the download, close and reopen qbittorrent, and restart the torrent but even then it takes 10+ minutes to finish the 0.1%. This was also happening before I upgraded to 11.10 from 11.04. This does NOT happen under my Windows parition on this same PC.

This is an old libtorrent-rasterbar bug. It was fixed in recent versions.

Since you're running Ubuntu, you can get a more recent qBittorrent / libtorrent from my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~hydr0g3n/+archive/ppa

Changed in qbittorrent:
assignee: nobody → Christophe Dumez (hydr0g3n)
status: New → Invalid

Thanks Christophe!

Added your PPA and both packages came up as "updates available" under Update Manager. Saved my settings just in case but I was pleasently surprised that it saved everything during the upgrade :)

This is still an issue with the latest qbittorrent from your PPA. Specifically, I am using v2.9.7 and most downloads get stuck @ 99.9%. Usually I have to manually stop then and restart them, or close and reopen qbittorrent, otherwise the other 0.1% can take up to an hour....

This is happening for me also in v2.9.7 in Windows 7. Torrents get stuck at 99 percent and change.

The problem seems to be happening for multi-file torrents where I've selected only some but not all files.

It seems that when the files I've selected share blocks with other files I haven't, the torrent stalls at near-complete until the adjacent files are also selected/downloaded. I suppose the shared block is not marked as needed until all files it spans are tagged for download. The rule should be to download any block that contains any part of any selected file, of course.

summary: - Most downloads get stuck @ 99.9%.
+ Downloads stalled @ 99.9%.

Very well could be related to selective downloads....I deselect individual files/folders for the majority of my torrents.
