Bug Description

I'm using Debian squeeze.

I've been using qbittorrent backports from testing/unstable. I had been using 2.6.7 with no problems. I saw 2.9.3 was in testing/unstable, and upgraded to that.

The packages I was using with 2.6.7 were

ii libtorrent-rasterbar6 0.15.5-1 C++ bittorrent library by Rasterbar Software
ii qbittorrent 2.6.7-1 bittorrent client based on libtorrent-rasterbar with a Qt4 GUI

The upgraded ones were

i libtorrent-rasterbar6 0.15.9-1 C++ bittorrent library by Rasterbar Software
ii qbittorrent 2.9.3-1 bittorrent client based on libtorrent-rasterbar with a Qt4 GUI

There was really no good reason for upgrading to 0.15.9-1, but I did because it was more recent. The Debian packages only require 0.15.4 or more recent.

I upgraded to libtorrent-rasterbar6 0.15.9-1 first, and immediately started getting errors like
File Error: <torrentname> file () error: file too short for some torrents. It seemed to be happening for torrents that were downloading or seeding or paused. I then upgraded to qbittorrent 2.9.3-1 and the errors continued. I then went back to 2.6.7-1 / 0.15.5-1 and the errors stopped. I may try upgrading to 2.9.3-1 without upgrading to 0.15.9-1 (since a problem with that version of libtorrent-rasterbar6 seems possible), but I thought I would file this report anyway.

Same problem here; torrents download for a short time then fail with the error:
File Error: <torrent name> file () error: file too short
Problem existed in 2.9.3 and persists in 2.9.9

Using qt 4.8.2, libtorrent-rasterbar 0.15.10, xdg-utils 1.1.0 on Arch.
