Possibly related to Maxtor OneTouch IV behaviour: controller is switching disk off, when disk is not operating.
Such a switching during torrent_check (how is it possible?) could lead to major system down.
Is it related to bugged hard disk io port?
qBittorrent is a GUI for libtorrent. As such, qBittorrnet is not handling disk IO itself. code.google. com/p/libtorren t/issues/ entry
