disks manager not re-mounting old /home

Bug Description

I reinstalled 5.10 in /root but kept my old /home partition. I believe that I mounted
it during the partition stage.

When the system booted this partition was mounted as /media/hda2.

I tried to reset this using disks tool to set it as /home. This did not work and the
configuration that I set using disk tools was not saved and do it made no changes to
the system when I rebooted. I therefore had to edit fstab manually. This then worked
without a problem.

Please show us your old fstab (the one you tried to modify using the tool). Did
the file change at all as a result of using the tool?

The tool did not make any changes I am aware of.

My first comment was mistaken when Ireferred to hda2 instead of
hda3.

The old fstab was as follows:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump>
<pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda6 / ext3
defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/hda2 /media/hda2 vfat
user,auto,fmask=0177,dmask=0077,uid=1000 0 0
/dev/hda3 /media/hda3 ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/hda7 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0

is the issue than fstab is not update by the tool? That's bug #18856
