py-mark-block doesn't highlight region

Bug Description
py-mark-block doesn't highlight the region, while py-mark-
does it (as expected).
I use transient-mark-mode (and cua-mode), the active region is
supposed to be highlighted.
I tried fixing it myself, no luck, sorry!
