Bug Description
Sometimes the translations of XML files should not be written back into the XML file itself, but obtained in some other way; this can be achieved by using the "--no-translations" option of intltool-merge, which unfortunately is not available with distutils-extra.
See bug 1052375 for an example of a case when this option would be needed.
