Bug Description

With setuptools 8.0 or better, PEP 440 versions are used. Since the version is not PEP 440 compatible, a runtime warning similar to the following is shown:

RuntimeWarning: 'python-designateclient (1.1.1.1.ge20b1d3)' is being parsed as a legacy, non PEP 440, version. You may find odd behavior and sort order. In particular it will be sorted as less than 0.0. It is recommend to migrate to PEP 440 compatible versions.
