Bug Description

Pitti, somebody commented this on your blog, and you asked for him to file a bug. That was a month ago, and I didn't see the bug, so I am filing it here myself because I also like this idea ;-)

"""Do you think it’s possible to auto-create the templates from a running system using dbus introspection? Maybe that’s something which could be integrated in d-feet."""

Changed in python-dbusmock:
assignee: nobody → Martin Pitt (pitti)

I probably won't have time to work on this myself in the next time, but if somebody wants to work on this please do ping me.

Changed in python-dbusmock:
assignee: Martin Pitt (pitti) → nobody
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Triaged

In UEQA we're investigating faking several of the services on which the indicators depend, e.g. upower, bluez, NetworkManager, etc.--this would be really useful for those, else we'll have to write extensive templates for each.

I'd envision wanting to fake only certain items, e.g. bringing a new wireless access point online.

Allan, note that python-dbusmock already provides templates for these three, and more.
